Little Dude's Grandma D...

Two years ago today my DH's mom was taken from us much too soon. She was loved by so many people because she was an absolutely amazing woman. She was a kind and gentle soul and took excellent care of her friends and family. She fought very hard against Acute Myeloid Leukemia, the cancer was just too strong. When we went home for her funeral so many of her friends and family told us how much she had wanted a grandbaby. Of course by that time we had begun trying to have a baby. Actually our very first IUI was two years ago today as well. The two events occurred at about the same time. When we found out two weeks later that we were pregnant it was quite a bittersweet thing. That pregnancy was not meant to be. Now as we remember LD's Grandma D, it is bittersweet to also be anxiously awaiting his arrival. LD will know all about his Grandma D and what an amazing woman she was. She was a skilled craftswoman and we have some beautiful quilts that she made that we will use in his crib. I know she has been with us through this pregnancy and will be there when LD is born. I know she will always watch over LD. We love you Grandma D!!

LD Watch 2010: lots 'o pressure in the nether regions... I'm excited about tomorrow's appointment hoping there's been some change as far as dilation and effacement. Fingers crossed...

(Noodlegirl-sorry to make you lose the bet. :) )
